On day one of your tour, you will be picked up from Marrakech in the morning and taken on a journey through the High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m). Along the way, you will visit the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, famous for its beautiful Kasbahs and stunning natural scenery, which has been used as a backdrop for numerous movies. After a lunch break, you will continue on to Dades via the palm grove of Skoura and the Dades valley, where you will spend your first night.
On day two of your tour, you will wake up to a delicious breakfast before setting off on the next leg of your journey through the Sahara Desert. You will take the road through the vibrant Berber villages, eventually arriving in Tineghir and its beautiful palm grove. From there, you will continue to the Todra Gorge, where you will have the opportunity to go on a trek through the towering canyons (approximately 300 meters high) that are a favorite spot for mountain climbers. After your trek, you will head to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you will spend the night at a local riad.
On day three, you will start the day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a full day of exploration around the Merzouga dunes. You will visit the wandering deposit, the village of the Gnaoua, and the Mifiss mines, taking in the breathtaking views of the desert plates and meeting the Berber nomads who call this region home. In the afternoon, you will embark on a 1.5 hour camel ride through the desert, taking in the breathtaking sunset as you go. You will spend the night in a bivouac at the Merzouga Sahara dunes, sleeping in nomadic tents under the stars.
On day four, you will wake up to a peaceful and unforgettable sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After returning to your hotel on the back of a camel for breakfast and a shower, you will head to Rissani to explore the local tourist area. This will include a visit to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm grove. You will have lunch in Nkoub before continuing on to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley. You will spend the night at a hotel in Ouarzazate, with dinner included.
On the final day of your tour, you will start the day with breakfast in Ouarzazate before setting off for Marrakech. Along the way, you will make a detour to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet, where you will visit the Kasbah el Glaoui and cross the High Atlas mountains.
