On day 2 of the tour, you will begin the day with a stunning view of the Atlas Mountains as we journey through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to the Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has been featured in films like The Gladiator and the TV series Game of Thrones. We will then head to Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah in the city. From Marrakesh, we will embark on a trip to the valley of Roses, known for its annual Festival of Roses. We will then drive to Dades Gorge, where we will spend the night at a local hotel or riad.
On day 3, we will continue the tour by visiting Todra Gorge, a picturesque narrow canyon popular with outdoor enthusiasts. From there, we will journey through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, a bustling oasis town known as the gateway to the Sahara desert and renowned for its unique fossils. While in Erfoud, you will have the opportunity to visit a local factory that produces artisanal and home decor items made from fossils. There is also a shop where you can purchase these items as souvenirs.
Afterwards, we will travel to Rissani, where you can explore the local souk. We will then head towards the desert to reach Merzouga, where we will spend the night at a local riad or hotel.
Day 4 will be dedicated to exploring the beautiful Merzouga desert. You will have the option to participate in activities such as camel trekking or touring the desert in a 4x4. We will also visit the Khamlia village, known for its traditional music. In the evening, we will enjoy the breathtaking sunset over the dunes of the Sahara desert.
We will then embark on a camel ride through the desert dunes, guided by experienced professionals, to reach the Merzouga Desert Camp. There, we will spend the night in traditional Berber tents. The night will be made even more special with a delicious Berber dinner served under the stars, accompanied by tribal music around a campfire.
We'll wake up early to see the sunrise and then ride camels to our hotel. After breakfast, we'll take a drive through Rissani and Erfoud, stopping in Midelt in the Atlas Mountains for lunch. In the evening, we'll arrive in Fes where we'll spend the night.
On day 6, we'll spend the day exploring the city of Fes, the oldest in Morocco. We'll visit the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, and other cultural and historical sites such as the Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. In the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to wander through the medina and perhaps have dinner at a local restaurant. We'll stay in Fes at a local riad or hotel for the night.
On day 7, we'll spend the day exploring the various parts of Fes. Fes el Bali is the oldest part of the city and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its narrow streets and alleys surrounded by a large wall. Fes-Jdid, also known as "new Fes," is home to the Jewish quarter. The "Ville Nouvelle" is the newest part of the city, created during the French occupation. In the afternoon, we'll drive to Rabat and then on to Casablanca.
On the final day of the tour, we'll visit the main attractions and monuments in Casablanca, including the Hassan II Mosque.
