Tour Plan

Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Day one: Begin our journey by taking a scenic drive through the picturesque Rif Mountains, passing by the historic city of Tetouan. Along the way, we will take a break to soak in the breathtaking views at the base of the Rif Mountains in Chefchaouen. This charming town boasts a medina with a distinct Spanish architectural influence, due to its past as a part of "Spanish Morocco." Stroll through the lively square lined with vibrant artisanal shops and sample the local fare at one of the many rooftop restaurants or cafes. End the day by unwinding in the comfort of a traditional Riad, enjoying the evening breeze and spectacular views.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes

Day two: Fuel up with a delicious breakfast before setting off towards the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, passing through the charming villages of Ouazan and other Rif settlements along the way. In Volubilis, we will delve into the rich history of the area and explore the well-preserved ruins. We will end our day in the city of Fes.

On the way to Meknes, we will make a stop for a satisfying lunch and take a tour of the historical medina, including a visit to the grand Bab el Mansour gate and the Moulay Ismail shrine. Afterward, we will continue on to Fes where we will spend the night and have the chance to explore this historic city further.

Day 3: Exploring Fes – guided tour of the city

Day three: Start the day by immersing ourselves in the oldest city in Morocco, navigating its winding alleys and narrow streets. We will begin our sightseeing tour at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish quarter, home to the first Mellah ever built in Morocco during the 16th century. We will make sure to visit all cultural and historical sites of interest, such as the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. Other highlights include the historic Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum.

After lunch, we will visit various cooperatives to learn more about traditional Moroccan crafts. We'll end the day with a panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes

Day 4: Fes – Merzouga desert

Day four: Start the day with a scenic drive to the Atlas Mountains, making a stop to visit the picturesque village of Ifrane. Here, we will have the opportunity to explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber apes.

Next, we will continue our journey through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge, stopping to take pictures and sample some delicious local mint tea. Then we will move on to Midelt before heading to Merzouga, where we will arrive at our desert camp. We will spend the night under the stars, enjoying the peace and serenity of the desert.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorges

After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour towards Ouarzazate through the path of a thousand Kasbahs (fortress) stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Then, we’ll drive through Ait Ben Haddou ( a UNESCO World Heritage site) famous for being used as a film location for the HBO series Game of Thrones and movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

Day 6: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

Day six: After a hearty breakfast, we'll continue our tour towards Ouarzazate, taking the route known as the "Path of a Thousand Kasbahs," and make a stop in Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival.

Next, we will drive through Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for being a popular filming location for movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the HBO series Game of Thrones. The ancient mud-brick fortress city is an outstanding example of pre-Saharan earthen architecture, it's a must see, and also a great spot for photographs.

Day 7: Ait Benhaddou – Essaouira

Day seven: Start the day with a delicious breakfast before heading towards the Atlantic coast and the charming coastal town of Essaouira, known as the "Pearl of the Atlantic." We will take the Tizi-n-Tichka Mountain pass through to Marrakech, before continuing on to Essaouira.

Once we arrive, we'll check in at a local riad and spend the afternoon taking in the beautiful setting of the city. A must-see experience is to watch the sunset from the Murallas, the fortifying walls of the city. In the evening, we'll enjoy a dinner of the freshest seafood the city has to offer. Afterwards, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the quiet, picturesque streets of the city before ending our trip.

Day 8: Essaouira guided tour

Day eight: Today is dedicated to exploring the ancient coastal city of Essaouira, also known as "Mogador" by the Portuguese. Recognized as one of the most beautiful coastal cities on the Atlantic, Essaouira's medina is a stunning blend of blue and white buildings surrounded by long stretches of beach and the ancient citadel walls of the Portuguese colonial era.

We will spend the night in a traditional local Riad and have the opportunity to fully take in the beauty and culture of the city, while also experiencing the hospitality of the locals.

Day 9: Essaouira – Marrakesh

Day Nine: After a delicious lunch at the port, we'll begin our journey back to Marrakesh, making only a few stops along the way. Once we arrive, we will check in to a local Riad or hotel and spend the night. This will give us one last chance to experience the vibrant culture and history of Marrakesh before our trip comes to an end.

Day 10: Marrakesh Guided Tour

Day ten: Today is dedicated to a guided tour of Marrakesh, where we will discover the main attractions and monuments of the city. This includes the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We will also explore other parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle.

After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city at your own leisure. This gives you the chance to take in the sights and sounds of Marrakesh, wander around its streets and shop at the souks. Take a moment to soak in the local culture, the architecture, and the traditions before bidding a farewell to Morocco.

Day 11: Marrakesh airport

Day eleven: Today is the final day of our tour and you'll be transferred punctually to the airport for your return flight home
