Tour Plan

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes

This morning, you will be transferred from your hotel to the Hassan II Mosque. Afterwards, you will travel to Rabat, the capital city. During your visit to Rabat, you will see the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower. Later in the day, you will travel to Meknes where you will have dinner at a local restaurant with a view of the square across from the Bab el Mansour gate. After dinner, you will stay at a local hotel for the night.

Day 2: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast in Meknes, you will embark on a tour of the city. This will include a visit to the square, Bab el Mansour (a large gate which serves as the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter), the Royal Granaries, and the city rampart. Afterwards, you will travel to Fes through Volubilis. While in Volubilis, you will have the opportunity to visit the Roman ruins and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum (a holy town and an important place of pilgrimage where the founder of Morocco's first dynasty is buried). Once you arrive in Fes, you will spend the night in a local hotel.

Day 3: Exploring Fes – guided tour of the city

Today, you will have the chance to explore the oldest city in Morocco, Fes, and its winding alleys and narrow streets. You will begin your sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter where the first Mellah (a Jewish quarter in a Moroccan city) was built in Morocco during the 16th century. You will also visit a number of sites with cultural and historical significance, such as the famous Al Qaraouine University (the oldest in the region) and the Tanneries. Other stops will include the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit several cooperatives and have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

Your tour will continue with a drive to Azrou, where you will have the chance to explore the cedar forest, home to the Berber apes. After leaving Azrou, you will continue your journey through Midelt and the Ziz valley, making a quick stop in Erfoud for lunch/drinks. From there, you will travel through Rissani and eventually reach Merzouga. You will spend the night in a local hotel in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Erg Chebbi

Today, you will have the opportunity to explore the desert region surrounding the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. You will get a glimpse into the nomadic way of life and see the stunning contrast of the desert. You will visit the black village of Khamlia and experience the music of the Gnawa. For lunch, you will enjoy a traditional Berber Pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the late afternoon, you will ride camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp. You will have a traditional Tagine dinner, drink refreshing local mint tea, and listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire while gazing at the stars and the rising moon in the beautiful Sahara desert."

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

You will wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to a local hotel to freshen up. After breakfast, you will travel through Rissani and Tinghir to Todra gorge, the highest and narrowest gorge in Morocco. After lunch at the gorge, you will continue your drive through the Dades valley, taking in the view of the geological feature known locally as 'Monkey Toes.' You will spend the night in the Dades valley.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh

After breakfast, you will continue your tour towards Ouarzazate, following the path of a thousand Kasbahs (fortresses). You will make a stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, known for its annual Rose Festival. From there, you will travel to the Unesco World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, which has been used as a filming location for numerous Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, as well as the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. You will then pass through the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass to reach Marrakesh, where you will spend the night.

Day 8 & Day 9: Marrakech guided tour

"Today, you will have a guided tour of Marrakesh. You will visit the main attractions and landmarks of the city, including the famous Jamma el Fna square, the Koutoubia mosque, the souks (markets), palaces, and museums. You will also explore other parts of the city, such as Gueliz, the Menara Gardens, and the Majorelle.

Day 10 & Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, you will take the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass through Marrakech, heading towards the Atlantic coast and the city of Essaouira, also known as the 'Pearl of the Atlantic.' In the afternoon, you will check-in at a local riad (traditional Moroccan hotel) and then go to watch the sunset from the Murallas (walls that fortify the city). In the evening, you will have dinner at a restaurant featuring the freshest fish in the city, and take a leisurely evening stroll through the quiet and picturesque setting. The next day, you will have the chance to explore the ancient city of 'Mogador' (Essaouira), rated as one of the most beautiful coastal cities on the Atlantic. Its medina (old city) is a stunning blend of blue and white, surrounded by long beaches and the ancient citadel walls of the Portuguese colonial era. You will spend two nights at a local riad in Essaouira

Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech (Casablanca)

This morning after breakfast in Essaouira, you will have some time to relax before departing for Marrakech or Casablanca, arriving around 6 pm. This marks the end of the tour.
