10 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier

On this day of our tour, we will explore the many fascinating tourist attractions of Tangier. One of the highlights of the day will be a visit to the Cave of Hercules, a stunning site that dates back to 2500 BC and overlooks the sea. The cave has two entrances, one of which is shaped like the African map and looks out onto the sea, while the other is the official entrance from the ground. We will also visit the American Legation in the old Medina, a museum that showcases the first American public property outside the United States and the historical relationship between Morocco and the United States. By the end of the day, you will have had the opportunity to discover many important and interesting places in Tangier, before returning to your accommodation for the night.

On the second day of our 10 day tour from Tangier, we will head to the charming town of Chefchaouen, also known as the Blue Pearl of Morocco. We will travel through the stunning Rif Mountains, where you will have the chance to take in the breathtaking views of green lands and villages. Along the way, we will make stops in the White Dove city of Tetouan and the Akchour waterfalls. Once we arrive in Chefchaouen, you will have the opportunity to wander through the narrow streets of the old Medina and admire the beautiful Spanish-style white washed houses. You will spend the night in a luxurious Riad or hotel in the town.

The next day of the 10 days tour from Tangier will be spent exploring the old Medina of Fes. You will meet with a local guide who will take you through the maze of the old Medina and introduce you to the famous attractions of the city. You will start your tour with a visit to the gate of the Royal Palace and the Blue Gate, which will take you to the University of Al-Karaouine, the oldest university in the world. After that, you will visit the Jewish quarter or Mellah, Chouara Tannery, and the ceramic pottery square. You will be able to witness the process of dyeing the leather using natural ingredients such as henna, indigo, and poppy seeds. You will also have the chance to see the Jewish quarter, the Blue gate, and the Marinid Tombs before heading up to the towers to enjoy a panoramic view of the old Medina. Finally, you will return to your Riad for the night.

This includes a visit to the oldest tannery in the world, where the process of leather production is still done using traditional methods dating back to medieval times. You will also visit the Jewish quarter, the famous blue gate, and the north tower arms museum, where you can appreciate a panoramic view of the entire Medina. Our local guide will ensure that you have a thorough understanding of all the sights and places you visit. You will spend another night at the same local Riad.

The next day of your 10 day Morocco tour from Tangier will begin with a desert adventure. You will start by visiting the village of Khamlia, home to the black skin people known for their traditional Gnawa music. After that, you will visit the Mifis mines, where you can see the daily work of Berbers in pits that are up to 30 meters deep. You will also have the opportunity to visit nomad families and the flamingo lake before embarking on a camel trek through the desert. At night, you will enjoy a dinner under the stars and be entertained by drum music around the campfire.

Finally, we will make our way to Ouarzazate, where you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Cinema Studio Atlas. We will end the day by visiting the famous and oldest kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before making our way through the breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi-N-Tichka pass to Marrakech, where our tour will come to an end.

On the eighth day of our 10 days tour from Tangier, we will travel through the Dades Valley and visit the Rose Valley. The valley is known for its production of roses, which are used to make perfumes and oils. You will have the opportunity to visit a rose distillery and learn about the process of making these products. Later, we will continue our journey to Ouarzazate, a city known for its film industry and historic kasbahs. We will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios, where many famous movies have been filmed. In the afternoon, we will head to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, a unique example of clay brick architecture. We will spend the night in a local riad in the city.

On the fourth day of our 10 day tour from Tangier, we will visit the beautiful and picturesque Rose Valley. Here, we will learn about the process of collecting and producing rose products, such as rosewater and cosmetics. After exploring the valley, we will take a scenic drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, where we will see ancient Kasbahs along the way. Our next stop will be in the city of Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa for its famous Atlas Studios where many movies have been filmed. We will then visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful clay brick architecture. Our journey will continue through the Tizi-N-Tichka mountain pass, where we will take in the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. We will also visit an Argan cooperative to learn about the production of Argan oil, which is used in a variety of cosmetics. Finally, we will make our way to the imperial city of Marrakech, where we will check into a local Riad for the night.

The 10-day tour from Tangier includes a guided tour of Marrakech, an economic and tourist hub with palaces, mosques, and gardens. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Garden, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef School, and Jamaa El-Fna square. You will also discover the art of leather making at the old tanneries and explore the old Medina with our local guide. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to try local foods at Jamaa El-Fna square, which transforms into a food stall after sunset. Our guide will make sure you see the most important sites before you spend another night at the same Riad.
