Tour Plan

Day 1: Tangier ~ Chefchaouen:

On the first day of our tour, we will take you from Tangier to Chefchaouen, a beautiful city known for its charming Andalusian-style architecture and blue-painted streets. Along the way, we will make a stop at the town of Tetouan to visit the stunning Akchour waterfalls, located in the Rif Mountains. After exploring Tetouan, we will continue our journey to Chefchaouen, where you will have the chance to stroll through the narrow streets of the old Medina and visit popular attractions like the Kasbah Museum and Plaza Uta El-Hammam square. In the evening, we will stay at a cozy Riad, where you can relax and unwind after a full day of sightseeing.

Day 2: Chefchaouen ~ Fes:

After breakfast in Chefchaouen, we will set out on the next leg of our journey to the imperial city of Fes. Upon arrival, you will be met by a local guide who will lead you through the winding streets of the old Medina, introducing you to the many famous attractions of the city. You will start your tour at the Royal Palace gate and visit the Blue Gate, which leads to the University of Al-Karaouine. Next, you will explore the Jewish quarter known as Mellah, the Chouara Tannery, and the ceramic pottery square. After taking in all the sights and sounds of Fes, we will take you to visit the Marinid tombs, located on a hill overlooking the old Medina. From this vantage point, you will have a stunning panoramic view of the city. In the evening, we will return to our Riad in the old Medina, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Fes ~ Ifrane ~ Cedar Forest ~Ziz Valley ~ Merzouga:

After breakfast, we will begin our journey through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be in the charming town of Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland" of Morocco. From there, we will continue on to the Cedar Forest near the village of Azrou, where you will have the opportunity to see monkeys in their natural habitat. Next, we will make a stop in the mountain town of Midelt for lunch. After fueling up, we will take on the winding mountain pass called Tizi N Talghamt, stopping along the way to take in the stunning panoramic views of the towering mountains and verdant valleys. This will be a day full of breathtaking sights and memorable experiences.

Day 4: Merzouga ~ Rissani Town~ Todra Gorges ~ Dades Valley:

Wake up early to catch a glimpse of the stunning sunrise from your desert camp. After freshening up with a hot shower and a hearty breakfast, you will return to the village of Merzouga on camels or in a 4x4 vehicle. From there, we will head to the traditional town of Rissani, which was once a major trading route for caravans and is the birthplace of Morocco's current dynasty. The town is known for its active souk, or market, where you can find a variety of spices, crafts, and even a sheep and cattle market. Don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in the rich culture of this historic town.

After exploring Rissani, we will embark on a journey through the Tafilalet oases to the village of Tinjdad. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the operation of the Khettara, a traditional underground irrigation system used to water oases and groves. We will then continue on to Touroug village, where you can visit an Amazigh or Berber cooperative to see traditional clothes and even try some on for yourself. Next, we will make our way to the breathtaking Todra Gorges in Tinghir, where you can see rock formations that attract climbers from around the world. From there, we will head to the Dades Valley, also known as the valley of figs, where you can see rock formations that resemble monkey fingers. At the end of the day, we will retire to a cozy Riad for dinner and the night.

Day 5: Dades Valley ~ Rose Valley ~ Ouarzazate ~ Ait Ben Haddou ~ Marrakech:

After a delicious breakfast, we will set out to explore more of the stunning High Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, where you will have the opportunity to see a variety of traditional Kasbahs along the way. We will then continue on to the town of Klaat M'Gouna, where you can visit the beautiful Rose Valley. From there, we will head to Ouarzazate to see the Kasbah of Taourirt, a former residence of the Pasha of the High Atlas Mountains, and the Cinema Studio Atlas, the largest film studio in the world. We will also make a stop at the famous and oldest Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where you can enjoy lunch and explore the historic site. As we make our way back to Marrakech, we will drive along the ranges of the High Atlas Mountains and through the Tizi'N'Tchka pass, taking in the breathtaking views before arriving in the city. Our 5-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech will end with a drop-off anywhere in Marrakech.
